A BRUTAL MURDER. By Cable.-—Prew Association.—Copyright Melbourne, January 30. During a drunken brawl at Waillan, five navvies pulled another out of a tent, battered his head to a pulp, and killed him.
DROWNED WHILE BATHING. Melbourne, January 30. Ada Stiinsfield and Vera Morriner, while bathing at Mount's Bay, got out of their depth and were drowned. AN ENGINE DERAILED. Adelaide, January 30. Owing to a washaway on the railway line near Bracking, an engine was derailed, and the driver, Rowe, killed,' and the fireman, Cott'ery, severely injured.
