A remarkable lawsuit has just boon initiated in Oliieajro nrrainst Mr. .Tamos -Patten, tllo erstwhile "Wheat Kins.'' Tho action is one in which the president of the Chieajro Anti-ftiml>lin<.' League , seeks to recover damages to the amount of £120.000. The plaintiff disclaims havintr lost any money as a result of Patten's operations in the, wheat market. The action he has instituted is taken under a statute of Illinois State wliieh provides that any person having a know ledye of gambling transactions may recover three times the total losses suffered by the victims.
