[ "THE LION AND THE MOUSE." [ Playgoers of Now Plymouth* will be delighted to hear that Mr. J. C. Williamson has definitely arranged to present the great American actress, Miss Kathenne Grey, the brilliant romantic actor, Mr. William Desmond, and a powerful supporting company at the Theatre Roy,al on Wednesday, February 8, in a production, for the first time here, of Charles Klein's world-famous and' intensely interesting human drama, "The Lion and The Mouse' The box plan will be opened at Collier's on Saturday next at 8.30 a.m. Miss Grey is a Californian l>y birth. She began her theatrical career with the Daly's at New York. Amongst some of greatest triumphs are Mariso Voysan i n "The Thief" with Mr. Kryle .Bellew as Richard Voysan; the ingenue in "The Comforts of Home;" and Roxanc to Mr. Richard Mansfield's "Cyrano de Bcgerao." She also appeared in "The Whirlpool"- with Mr. Charles Walclron, who is at present a firm favorite in New York, and in "Wolfville" with Mr. Nat Goodwin. Miss Grey has also been in management on her own behalf, having played with great success Bernard Shaw's plays at the Lyceum Theatre, New York. Miss Grey's leading man, who was engaged by Mr. Williamson to take the place formerly occupied by Mr. Julius Knight in Australians a. repertoire of over a hundred' parts to his credit, including Marcus Superbus in "The Sign of the Cross," Napoleon in "A Roynl Divorce," Charles II in "Sweet Nell of Old Drury," the name part in "Sherlock Holmes," "Monsieur Beaucaire," and "The Prince Chap," D'Artagan in "The Three Musketeers," and Paul Sylvaine in "Leah KJeslma."
