TWO HOUSES BURNED. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington, January 27. Early this morning a fire at Petone completely destroyed two new six-roomed unoccupied houses. Each was insured for £3OO. A DWELLING DEMOLISHED. Whangarei, January 27. An ei "lit-roomed house in Whau Valley, owned and occupied by Dr. McLeod, was completely demolished bv fire last night. The building was insure:! in the National Office for £325: the furniture, most of which was saved, was covered by insurance in the Guardian Office.
