Sir George Reid addressed the London Chamber of Commerce at a meet/ ing to celebrate the Anniversary Day of Australia. He recounted the pastoral, agricultural and financial progress, and also quoted Messrs. Fisher and McGowcn's statements with reference to the peopling of Australia. There was a, very large assemblage, over which Lord Desborough presided.
