SUMMARY AND FtBECAST. *By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' •weather summary and forecast: —Strong south-easterly winds have prevailed, but moderated to-day. Rain has spread over the North island, but the. weather has improved in the south. The barometer is lower in the north, and though still high in the south has shown a slight fall, which has weakened the gradients. Present indications are for a brief spell of fair weather, heavy showers following in the weather clearing up-v sfKrsisß\for a day or two.
