SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —The barometer has risen in the southern districts, but fallen in the north. The weather has been hazy, and humid conditions have prevailed everywhere. Rain set in ovet the South Island during the night, with moderate to strong southerly winds. Present indicactions are for rain in most parts of the country, especially over tht» North Island and East Coast of the South Island. South-easterly winds, strong to gale in parts, will probably prevail. The barometer will probably fall for several hours in the north, but rise very high in the south.
