Time, 2niin 35 2-ssce. WELLINGTON SUMMER MEETIXG. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tlie final day of the Wellington Racing Club's summer meeting opened windy and cloudy, and the attendance was on the small side. Some good racing was witnessed during the day. The totalisator figures for the day were £10,313 10s, against £17,538 for the corresponding day last year, and the total for the meeting was £52,004, compared witn £51,002 for the li) 10 meeting. Twenty bookmakers were licensed. Results: Wallaceville Welter Handicap, six furlongs.—Bracken (W. Price) 1, Colleen M... 2, Aunt Sally 3. Also started: t u ;,.ient, True Knight, Laius, Odessa, 1' ....oi, Daunton, Royal Knight. The w led all the way, and won by half a length. Time, lmin 15 3-ssec. Melrose Welter Handicap, seven furlongs.—Sharpshooter (F. E. Jones) 1, Humming Bird 2, Peacemaker 3. Also started: Ariom, Medallist, St. Felix, San Lass, Easnakyle, Penza, Kilosteri, First Battery, Aimwell. Humming Bird lea to half way up the straight, Sharpshooter with a good gallop beating her by half a length. Time, lmiu 28 3-ssec. Hopeful Stakes, four furlongs.—Byron (H. Gray) 1, Counterfeit 2, Bronze 3. Also started: Bootle, Peter Pan, Sinapis, Lambton. Bronze and Counterfeit showed the way to the straight, then Byron took the lead and won by a head. Time, 48 2-ssec.
Summer Handicap, one mile.—Los Angelos (R. Hatch) 1, Ell'ort 2, Birkdale 3. Also started: Lady Medallist, Full Rate, Polymorphous, Sunbonnet, Genius, Marry Frank, Countermine, Countermine led for half a mile, Genius supplanting her, with Los Augclos lying handy. The chestnut came away with a good rattle, and won by half a length, Birkdale some distance away. Time, lmin 40 2-asec.
Selling Plate, six furlongs.—All Guns (E. J. Pine) 1, Purakau 2, Merrie England 3. Also started: Moree, MoreykoiT, Surmount. All Guns had the race in hand all the way, and won comfortably. Moreykoff lost his rider. The winner was sold for 110 guineas. Time, lmin 17 2-osec.
Kaitoke Handicap, five furlongs. —Contralto (L. Kemp) 1, W'inning Post 2, Dirt'ctoire 3. Also started: Killaloo, Longstep, Rongomai, Big Blast, Lochiela, Lady Kilchcran, Ahuapai, Wee Rose. Won all the way. Time, lmin 3sec. Consolation Handicap, one mile and a quarter.—Parable (C. Brown) 1, Merrivonia 2, Vi 3. Also started: Iranui, Sir Tristram, Dazzling, Outlander, Passive. Parable made most of tlie running, and, after being displaced for leadership by Meirivonia, came again and won by two lengths. Time, 2min S 4-osec. City Handicap, six furlongs.—Obsono (R. Hatch) 1, Dearest 2, Formby 3. Also started: Gipsy Belle, Sea Queen* Tenterhook. Won all the way. Time, lmin 1 42-ssec.
