THE AOTEA WRECK
SALVAGE CONTRACT ARRANGED. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Capetown, January 24. Reuter states that a contract for salving the Aotea has been concluded. Given the continuance of the present perfect weather, the bulk of the cargo will be discharged, and then it will be ascertainable whether the vessel can be refloated, as is hoped. HOPES OF SAVING THE HULL. .Received 25, 10.50 p.m. London, January 25. Reuter's Capetown correspondent reports that it is hoped, when the cargo is discharged, it will be possible to save the Aotea's hull.' The weather continues perfect.
