THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —The weather has been hazy, warm, and humid generally, but rain has fallen in the southernmost districts. Squally westerly t winds were experienced during the night in Foveaux and parts of Cook straits, but the winds have been mostly variable, and the barometer has made little movepent. Present indications are for warm and humid conditions generally, with passing clouds and showers in parts. Winds will probably be variable in most parts of the country, moderate to strong easterlies predominating in the north and westerlies in and southward of Cook strait. The' barometer has a jailing tendency in the far north, but will probably rise shortly in the south.
