The committee in charge of the afternoon tea. arrangements at the garden party to the Governor on Thursday have received a donation of a box of their famous Darton Garden tea from Messrs. Hawkins and Smith.

Gunson, Criterion Motor Garage, New Plymouth, has received information that the 4-cylinder Darracq cars on order are on the Athenic, due in Wellington on Tuesday. Owing to the extraordinary demand for this model, the Darracq Company have found great difficulty in fulfilling orders, and this was the cause ,of the delay in the present instance. The. Darracqs are givinor very great satisfaction in the South Island. Mr. Gunson has also landed, ex Turakina, a 12-li.p. single cylinder tie Dion car for Dr. Wylic. this car is fitted with a very handsome single-seated torpedo model body, which has been the subject of much favorable comment.
