MONTHLY MEETING. The meeting was held in the secretary's oliiee, National Dank Chambers, yesterday, when there were present: Messrs. .1. Wade (chairman), F. Simpson. C. K. Major, and W. T. Jennings, MP. An apology for the absence of Mr. Morton was received. J The special resolution with regard to j Mr. C. E. Bellringer's lease, passed at j last meeting of the Hoard, was confirmed i as follows: "ihat a surrender be accepted from Mr. Bellringer of his present lease of section 12!!1, Xew Plymouth, and i that a new lease be granted to him of I the land for the residue of the present | term at a rental of £1 per annum, | with rights of perpetually-recurring rej newals at rents to be fixed by arbitration on the unimproved vahie of the [lands, with interest at 5 per cent, per j annum on £3, the present value of the j improvements now on the land!" Mr. | Simpson dissented from the resolution ion tae ground of the rent being too ! low.
