ABLE ADVOCATE FOR AUSTRALIA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January ID. The Bishop of Rochester, the Right Rev. J. R. 'Harmer, who was Bishop of Adelaide from 1895 to 1905, speaking at a meeting of the Kent Colonising Association, said it passed his comprehension why thousands of workers remained in Britain to hustle one another for a living wage' while Australia was calling loudly for labor. Australia was truly a workman's paradise. There was remunerative labor in every direction, and men with grit were able to rise to any position.
