At the trial of Edmondson in connection with the Tantauoola sheep-stealing eases, a witness deposed that he was induced to join accused l>y the statement that he could make £4 or £5 daily. Under pretence of trapping rabbits, Edmondson shot sheep belonging to flocks in the vicinity. Witness skiwied them. The skins were consigned to Adelaide. At other times they put up temporary yards, ran in and killed batches of sheep. This had been going on since August last.
