An old engine-driver, conversing with a M'anawatu Standard reporter about the way drivers are compelled to make up time during the holiday rush, said that from what lift liad heard he feared the making up of time would lead to disaster on the Jfa in Trunk line one of these days. The Main Trunk line was not a safe line on which to do so.
