The quarterly meeting of the Teachers' Superannuation Board reported that the roll showed a membership of 3247 contributors. SUPERANNUATION BOARD. Wellington, Tuesday. At a meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board a committee was set up to inquire into the rates of interest allowed by the Public Trust on superannuation fund investments; and as to charges made by that office for dealing with the fund. A committee was also set up to draft a regulation dealing with officers on leave without pay, and the amount to be paid by them while absent on such leave. The decision by the Supreme Court on the question of members of the Police Department who are not merged into the public service superannuation fund being able to pay for broken service was considered, and it was decided that service would be considered up to March 31. The amount to the credit of the fund on December 31 last was £254,015, an increase of £103,075 on the corresponding quarter of last year. The total annual amount l>f return allowances and annuities to widows and children on the schedule for last meeting was £l5B 14s lOd.
