BANK FRAUDS
A MANAGER IMPRISONED. By Cable.—Press Association.—-Copyright Received IS, 1.5 a.m. Ottawa, January 17. Travers, manager of the Farmers' Bank, was sentenced to six years in the penitentiary. Summonses have been issued against four prominent Toronto men, formerly provisional directors of the bank, on an allegation of conspiracy to obtain £2OOO sterling. Dr. Nesbitt, a prominent politician, is also summoned, charged with signing false returns of the bank's position.
