A MEAT CORNER
ITS EXISTENCE DENIED. By Association—Copyright. Sydney, January 17. Some carcase butchers deny the existence of the reported meat corner, and claim that competition both in the local and export trades is so keen as to exclude any chance of a corner. No large carcase butchery has changed hands. America buyers are only able to touch the export trade, and the competition they meet will make it unprofitable, as the proportion of mutton fit for export is limited.
