NEW BATTLESHIPS STARTED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January Hi. The keel plates are being laid to-day of the new battleships King George V. and Centurion. Their displacement will be approximately 25,000 tons, horsepower 27,000, speed 21 knots, and thickest armor 12 inches of Simson steel. The armament includes ten 13Vis-inch, and 24 4-inch guns. The latter will be used against destroyers. There will be three tubes for firing 21-ineh torpedoes at a range of 7000 yards. The officers' quarters are aft.
