To-day's sitting of the Court of Inquiry into the loss of the Waratah was occupied with the reading of Australian depositions, including those of the navigating inspectors, who did not hear anything to denote that the vessel was unstable.

Many witnesses expressed dislike of the Waratah, but others regarded her as a fine ship.
