The Long Tunnel mine shaft is flooded, causing serious damage. SHOPS' AND STREETS FLOODED. Received 18, 12.35 a.m. Melbourne, January 17. Further heavy rain has fallen. Many Melbourne shops were flooded, and street traffic was impeded. A serious landslide occurred on the Walhalla railway line.
