THE TARANAKI COMPANY. , „ The Taranaki Petroleum Company's, directors met last night. It was reported that to date 13,500 new preference shares had been allotted,, of which 700 were allotted at the meeting. It was mentioned that on all hands there seemed to be a feeling of greater confidence in the industry. With a view of pushing on drilling at No. 5 bore it was decided to work night and day shifts there from this date onward. l Progress at the bores continues satisfactory.
