I While playing cricket on the Basin Reserve yesterday, Corbett, of the Post I and Telegraph team, broke his arm just above the elbow in throwing in the ball from the outfield. Continuing their match at Inglewooa yesterday, New Plymouth easily defeated the home team, and won the match by 143 runs without going to the wickets for the second innings. The position was that New Plymouth had Made 296 runs in the first innings, and Inglewood were four wickets down for 33 when yesterday's play commenced. On the resumption of play it was very soon in evidence that the batsmen were not at home, and the wickets fell rapidly. The total number of runs recorded was Uo, of which Nicholls made 12, Marsh 20, and B. Sutherland 24. In the follow-on a worse stand was made, only 48 being registered, N. Sutherland I (15) and Pullen (12) being the highest, scorers. Ingram was the most successful with the ball, securing six for 30 ia the first innings and three for 25 in the follow-on.
