BAD WEATHER AT SYDNEY
WRECKED .IN A STORM. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 12, 8.45 pjn. Sydney, January 12. A strong south-easterly gale, with heavy rain, has raged since yesterday night. The coasting steamer Rosendale was wrecked at the Bellinger river heads. The crew and passengers are safe. A high sea is running. A STEAMER WRECKED. Received 12, 11.15 p.m. Sydney, December 12. The storm continues. Shipping is sheltering. There has been incessant heavy rain since last night, and it still continues. Six inches have fallen in Sydney up to three o'clock this afternoon. The fall is general and extremely heavy in some parts. Telegraphic communication is badly interrupted. FLOODS IN TOWN AND COUNTRY. Received 13, 12.55 a.m. Sydmy, January 12. Some of the low-lying suburbs are being flooded. Floods are reported in parts of the country.
