OUR LABOR LEGISLATION
MR. BEEBY A STRONG SUPPORTER. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, January 12. Mr. Bceby does not agree with the statement that a couple of decades of labor legislation in New Zealand have left the worker where he was. He has no hesitation in denying the statement that labor has been the first to recognise that the betterment arising from the legislation is a mere illusion. New Zealand has passed through a depression of trade in the last few years, and the enormous value of the regulation of industry ,in preventing the cutting of wages is fully appreciated. No political party or substantial section of the community in New Zealand has suggested that any of the industrial legislation should be repealed.
