BILLIARDS
A REMARKABLE PERFORMANCE,
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 8.
Gray's score reached 8000 when Biggie's was 3520, Gray thus winning the match.
Riley, the table-maker, has presented Gray with £3O on account of Friday's break.
Gray showed nervousness on resuming play, and, being excited by the demonstration when he broke Friday's record, finally lost position with an unlucky six shot, scoring 1318, of which 1314 were off the red, including 257 consecutive middle-pocket losers. Gray afterwards made 695 and 209 unfinished breaks. The Times says there is little doubt that Gray could give our best player the choice of balls and beat him easily.
