RAILWAY SUPERANNUATION
PAYMENTS AUTHORISED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Retiring allowances amounting to £'2"27S were passed by the Government Railways Superannuation Board at its quarterly meeting to-day, the recipients being twenty-eight contributors who have reached the age limit. Payments to four widows and six children were also made, involving an annual liability of £)]], and refunds of contributions totalling ;Cl7A r > were made in respect of employees who have left the service. If a contributor dies before receiving, by way of pension, the amount he has paid into the fund, his representatives arc entitled to the difference, and under this rule .184 was voted. Messrs. Graham, I'epper and Dawsoit having intimated that they were not seeking re-election this year, a resolution appreciative of their services to the fund was recorded.
