Thirty-eight Camorrists, charged with the murder of Ouocol's wife on June 5, 1900, were conveyed from Naples to Viterbo in an armored train. Armed patrols were stationed along the line to prevent resc&e.

The Camorra is a secret society of plunderers, exacting money from tradesmen and ethers jti Naples. It lias existed for half a century. The Camorrists are said to be the highest grade of the society named ''Mala Vita."
