The general belief is that the reciprocity treaty between Canada am' the United States is on the eve of conclusion. The attitude of both Governments on the question of reciprocity is known, and it only remains to discover a working agreement. Messrs. Paterson and Fieldin" have departed for Washington, intending to remain a fortnight.
