LAND AND MORTGAGE COMPANY. By Telegraph.—Pres9 Association. Auckland, Yesterday. The New Zealand Land and Mortgage Company lias received a cable that the general meeting adopted the directors' recommendation that a dividend of 8 per cent, per annum be paid for the. year (including interim dividend), that the balance of £20,000 be paid to the reserve, and £7288 carried forward. The chairman stated that the directors would probably pay 9 per cent, next year in two instalments. NO COAL TROUBLES. Westport, Yesterday. Work was resumed this morning in all the collieries after the holidays. Nothing is known here of any probable labor troubles.
