FIRES.

BLENHEIM HOUSE DESTROYED. By Talegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Wednesday. A five-roomed house in South street, owned by W. Rosevear, was totally destroyed by lire about midnight. The house had not been tenanted for some time, as the owner was effecting alterations. The house was insured 'or £2OO in the State Office. Mr. Rosevear lost a quantity of furniture and tools, which were uninsured.

A FACTORY BURNED. Invcrcargill, Wednesday. At 0.30 this morning a fire at Riverton destroyed a woodware and brushware factory's plant and stock. The building belonged to Mr. Pankhurst, and was insured for £IOO, but the plant, owned by Mr. Kenneth Trail, and the stock, the property of Messrs. Carroll and Co., were uninsured. The loss is estimated at £IOOO.

FIRE AT DUNEDIN. Dunedin, Wednesday. A seven-roomed house in Upper MacLaggan street was destroyed by flru early this morning. It was occupied by Mrs. Annie Miller, who Tetired to bed at midnight, leaving a small fire burning in the kitchen. The furniture was insured in the Allinnce Office for £175 The house was owned by Miller.
