NAPIER WOOL SALE. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Napier, Yesterday. For the -..-t/ier wool sale on Friday 10,014 bales are catalogued, a drop of iifiUD as aiiain.it the third sale last year. The shortage is accounted for by the fact that several thousands of bales are locked up at Wairoa owing to steamers being unable to negotiate the bar. Showery' weather, too, has interfered with shearing during the past few weeks.
EXPORTS TO LONDON. Messrs J. B. MacEwan and Co. forward the following particulars of the export of dairy produce:—.Shipped per s.s. Ruapehu December 15, 1010, 154S tons butter and 7-53 tons cheese; per Paparoa same date 24 tons butter, 705 tons cheese. Last year: Opawa, December 15. 1000, 032 tons cheese; Turakina. December 10, 1909, 1524 tons butter, 85S tons cheese.
Shipments to date as compared with last season are:—From New Zealand— Butter: Season 1909-1910, OSB9 tons; I'.HO-1011, 774!) tons; increase. 13 per cent. Cheese: Season 1,909-1910, 0243 tons; season 1910-1911, J992 tons; decrease 20 per cent. From Australia .(up to December 71 Butter: Season 1909-10, 11,204 torts; 1010-1011, 10,409 tons; increase, 44 per cent.
