The Chamber, by 00 to 73, rejected the demand for a Parliamentary enquiry regarding the imprisonment of Rizanotir. who last October was acquitted on a charge of conspiracy, and regarding the torturing of prisoners connected with the so-eallcd Secret Association. One deputy produced the handle of a whip which he said had been used to beat the prisoners, also one of their finger-nails.
