Mr. Seon, clerk of the Native Land Court, is spending his Christmas- Vtteation in town. He informs us that the next sitting of the Land Court in New Plymouth will be on the-16th prox. From an Ottawa cablegram we learn that an impression prevails in official circles that the Duke of Connjught will. not be the 'next Viceroy, for it is under* stood that the King cannot spare Mm, Mr. G.
