The Humanite publishes an interview with Mr. Lloyd-George, who criticised the Republican journals for sympathising with the enemies of the English democracy, and asked whether the democrats of France had forgotten the Francophile of the past. Speaking of the future, he declared that he had had enough of being the plaything of the aristocrats. The veto would be abolished, and the Government would continue to strike for a limitation of armaments, because militarism and Imperialism were the great enemies of human progress. A measure of national assurance against sickness and unemployment would be prepared, the secured financial resources enabling it *o be incorporated in the next Budgei The cost would be about £18,000,000 annually. '
