THE LAND HUNGEK. By Telegraph.—Preaa Association. -Wellington, Last Night. Two land ballots were held to-day by the Commissioner, Mr. Jas. Mackenzie. A section of 89% acres in the Ohinewairua district, Taihape, attracted ten applicants, and was drawn by Geo. E. Ginders. A section of 79 acres in the Maungakaritu district, Mataroa, had 39 applicants. It was drawn by Grace W. Anderson. A SALVAGE CASE. Christchurch, Last Night. In the case in which the owners, master and crew of the steamer Reemere claimed £SOO from the barque Solgran for salvage services on the estuary of the river Derwent in Tasmania on April 27 th, Mr. Justice Sims, in the Admiralty division, awarded £75 and costs. DIVORCE. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. Justice Cooper gave judgment this afternoon in a divorce case Sayer v. Sayer, a husband's petition, on the grounds of adultery. His Honor decided that suggested condonation had been made \by the deception of the respondent in collusion with the co-re-spondent, and he gave a decree nisi, to' be made absolute at the expiration oi three months.
