Tlie bottle containing an alleged message from a member oi the Duco's crew, winch was picked up on the beach near Southbridge, was brought to town latu this afternoon, and the actual messago itself was sent to Wellington by tonights steamer. The bottue is similar in shape to the ordinary quart beer bottle, and bears the brand "Powley and Keast." The message was written on the back of a race-card headed, "Dunedin meeting, third day, Saturday, February 26," the card being printed by the City Printing Company, Wellington. The card was folded up, and placed inside a yellow Three Castles' cigarette wrapper. The message is written in pencil, in a somewhat shaky hand-writing, and the text is as already telegraphed.
