SOME STUPENDOUS FIGURES. By Cable—iPl'ess Association—Copyright. Received 21, 10.45 p.m. London, December 21. George Paris, joint editor of the Statist, in a paper before the Statistical Society, declared that British capital invested at the end of 1307 in India, the colonies, and foreign countries, was £2,693,738,000, which annually yielded £169,791,000. During the last three years a further £515,000,000 had been invested abroad, the Argentine placing £4,000,000 worth of 4 per cent. Treasury Bills in London, Paris and Berlin.
