NORTH TARANAKI REP. TEAM. The representative team, as chosen by Mr. P. Robertson (sole selector) to meet Wanganui at Wanganui on December 26 and 27, is as follows:—G. E. Smith, H. Ward, Perham, Gwillim, Bury, Nicoll, R. G. Marsh, A. Bewley, W. Fuller, Bevan and Elliott. 'Many of the Association's best players' were unable to make the trip, so that the team is not as strong as could be wished; still, it is hoped they will put up a good stand against the "Webbtown" players. The team leaves on Monday morning. The rep. teams against Manawatu and Nelson will have to be after the Wanganui fixture, as many of the above players are unable to go further afield. . MEETING OOP "THE ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the North Taranaki Cricket Association, held on Monday night, was attended by the following: Messrs. E. Whittle (chairman), M. G. Williams, W. P. Nicoll (New Plymouth), Gordon (New Plymouth juniors), W. H. Perham (Carrington Road), Johns (New Plymouth Saturday team), L. Hill (Law), and Frank Robertson (sole selector). The secretary reported! that the dftte* of the representative matches had been arranged as follows:—December 26 and 27, v. Wanganui, at Wanganui; December 28 and 29, v. Manawatu, at Palmerston North; December 30 and 31, v. Nelson, at Palmers ton; January 2 and 3, v. . South Taranaki, at Hawera. Messrs. Hill and Gordon were appointed to the rules and revision committee, vice Messrs. Southall and Turnbull resigned. v There was'a long discussion on the matter of the result of the recent junior match, High School and Carrington Road. It will be remembered that in thif match the scores were at first announced as being equal, but it was afterwards found that a "wide" toad been credited to the Carrington Road, but included in the totals. The umpires, however, declared that no "wides" had been given. The delegates of both clubs stated that they would be satisfied with a declaration that the match ended in a draw, and the meeting decided accordingly. The United Service Club will play a scratch team on iMonday next.
