(From Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. The following are the payments of some of the local factories to-morrow: Stratford, £7391; Ngaere, £2695; Lowgarth, £l9/30; Cardiff, £1992. The annual school excursion to New Plymouth will take place on February 16th. ~ i On account of the large number, of visitors to . the Stratford Mountain House, it has been found necessary to remove the small house to the site of the larger one. Mr. G. Davidson has sold his farm on the Stanley road to Messrs. Pitt Bros. The annual meeting of the Stratford A. and P. Association will be held on January 28th. Whether it is the rain of the past few days, or the muggy weather that is responsible cannot be definitely said, but a number of residents have found that their potato crop 3 have been attacked by the blight.
