SUMMARY AND P9RECAST. Br Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C Bates' summary and forecast:—The weather has been generally sultry, and dense fogs lave prevailed in Otago and Foveaux Straits. Showers have fallen in parts, and moderate to strong northerly and easterly winds have predominated. Present indications are for increasing northerly winds generally, and a falling barometer everywhere, especially in the south. Warm, misty and cloudy weather will probably prevail in most parts of the country. Thunderstorms are probable, and conditions are somewhat threatening, especially south of Cook >,. Strait. . -■ )
