The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,105,000 quarters, and for the continent 1i505,000 quarters. The Atlantic shipments to Europe this week are 1,085,000 quarters, including 102,000 quarters from the Argentine, 490,000 quarters Russian, 135,000 quarters Danubian, 46,000 quarters Indian, and 0000 quarters Australasian. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The following is the High Commissioner's report cabled under date London, December 17: — Mutton. —There is no alteration in tlie market since last week, viz., Canterbury 4y s d, North Island 3%d. Lamb. —The market is weakening with sigiw of decline. Buyers are not inclined to make forward purchases ot lamb at present prices. Australian lamb 5y B d. Beef.—The market is dull. The stock of New Zealand on hand is light, and the supplies of River Plate are heavy. New Zealand hinds 3%d, fores 2%dButter. —The market is dull and buyers are holding back, expecting prices to go lower. On account oi large supply holders are anxious. Choicest New Zealand 100s per cwt., Australian 100s, Argentine 102s, Danish 116s, Siberian 101s. Cheese.—The market is quiet, but holders are firm. White 56s per cwt., colored 575. Hemp. —The market is dull, witk a downward tendency. New Zealand good fair on spot per ton £2l 10s, New Zealand fair grade £2O 10s, Manila fair current £l9 10s. January-March shipment New Zealand good fair £2l, New Zealand fair grade £2O ss, Manila fair current £l9 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 23,000 bales. Wool.—The market is a shade weaker. Bradford tops are as follows: Thirtysixes (low crossbreds) Is 1%.d, forties (low crossbreds) Is 2 1 / i <l, forty-fours (medium crossbreds) Is fifties (half-breds) Is 7 1 / l d, fifty-sixes (quar-ter-breds) Is sixties (merinos) 2s 2d. Eggs.—The spot market is strong for new laid, but less demand for cold stored. Russian 7s Gd to 10s 3d per 120, Italian 14s Gd to 16s Gd, Danish 19a to 20s 6d. Poultry. General and active demand. Cold stored American chickens 9d to lOd per lb, Russian 8d to (Id, turkeys 7d to Sd, ducklings Gd to 7 %<[.
