LEGISLATION BY EXHAUSTION.

The Assembly rose at two this morning, having sat continuously for 3oVg hours.
The Public Works Estimates, involving the expenditure of £ 30,000,000, were passed towards the end, when members were in a state of physical exhaustion. The application of the gag was frequent. Mr. Wade was one of the victims. Criticism almost ceased, and most members were lying ,on the seats.
