LABOR PARTY ACTIVE. By Telegraph.--Press Association. Wellington, Friday. Labor intends to contest "the ' next municipal election in Wellington at all points. The secretary of the Trades and Labor Council was instructed last night to communicate with that newlyestablished Labor Party, in Wellington, requesting it to circularise the whole of the unions here, asking them to submit the names of suitable candidates. SLY GROG-SELLING. Wellington, Friday. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, James Henry Hqpe was fined £oo and costs on a charge of sly grog-selling.
