BOXING
A WEST COAST MATCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. WcHport, Last Xight. The Westport Boxmg Association has made a match between Bill Rudd, of Wellington, and Monty Andrews, an Australian, for a purse of £IOO, to take place on the morning of Boxing Day, December 27. Rudd, who recently defeated Jim Mitchell at Millerton for the heavy-weight championship of Xew Zealand, In; never been properly extended, nocie of his contests previously going beyond three rounds. Andrews, who has a good record in Australia, leaves Sydney for Westport, via Wellington, tomo'TO'.v. The match is attracting wide lintirtSj, principally because no one has had ' ( n opportunity of seeing Rudd really going, owing to the rapidity with which lie his so far despatched his opponents. A match, Morgan (Westport) v. Munday (Greymouth), for a purse of £2O, takes place as a preliminary. Seats are being inquired for from Wellington, Nelson, Greymouth, and other centres.
