CANADA'S TRADE RELATIONS
FARMERS' REPRESENTATIONS TO THE GOVERNMENT. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 16, 11.40 p.m. Ottawa, December 16. Western Canada farmers, at a meeting, adopted resolutions which they will place before the Government, demanding free trade with the United States in all horticultural, agricultural, and animal products; reciprocity for agricultural implements and machinery; lower duties by half on British imports; leading to complete free trade in ten years between Great Britain and Canada. The farmers agree that direct taxation should replace the lost revenue. Government aid to the chilled meat industry is also demanded.
