r • SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Br Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' -weather summary and forecast: The weather has been generally warm and humid, misty and rainy, in most parts of the country. Westerly winds, strong to a gale, have prevailed in the ; far north, and northerly gales in Otago, but elsewhere the winds have been variable, though chiefly northerly. The barometer has been rather low and unsteady, but little change has taken place. Present indications are for changeable and showery weather generally, gloomy and thundery at times in various parts. The barometer will probably fall in the south for a ?hort time, and moderate to strong ■westerly winds prevail in the north, and northerly winds in the south.
