(Jersey strain) £4 13s, store cows £3 l'ss to £3 17s, forward do. £4 7s to £4 12s (id. fat do. £5 ss, springing cows £5 10s to £7 10s, bulls £3 2s to £A. On the same day at Douglas yearling steers made £3 4s, empty heifers £3 6s to £3 10s, store cows £2 10s to £3 15s, forward do. £4 4s to £4 13s, fat do. £5 6s, 3 to 3V 2 -year steers £5 l"ss, bulls £4 7e M. At Stratford on Tuesday there was a fair yarding, bidding being brisk throughout, witfh an. unsatisfied demand, and good prioes we've realised. Yearling, heifers made £3 2s, 15-months do. to £3 10s Od, IS-montihs to 2-year do. R.-..8. £3 l&s Od to £3 18s 6d, I*montihs steers £3 % od, 18-monthe do. At Stony River on Wednesday there was a fair yarding, and practically everything was sold at the hammer or afterwards. Yearling heifers made £2 16s 6d to £3 6s, L's-months do. £3 12s Od, yearling steers £2 15s 6d, IS-mouths heifers R.W.B. £3 10s to £4, 2-vear do. £4 9s, store cows £3 to £3 18s* 6d, forward do. £4 5s to £4 18s, fat cows £5 3s to £5 lis, bulls £3 7s Od to £6. ■MATTHEWS & BENNETT'S REPORT. Matthews and Bennett report a fair yarding of cattle nt their ingle wood yards 0:1 Wednesday last, and prices compared favorably with late sales, being as follows:—Springing heifers £4 5s to £7, fat heifers £5 4s, store cows £3 12s';'to £4 ss. forward do. t'l- IGs to £5, empty heifers £2 1& to £4, bulls £2 13s to £6 3s, calves 25s Od to 28s Od. At Mr. Aikenhead's sale on Tuesday the cows brought good prices, ranging from £5 10s to £l2 2s Od, Jersey heifer calves lSs, horse £IS. 'Sundries made satisfactory prices. JOHNSONVILLE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johsonville sale as follows f—rW'e offered a heavy yarding of prime bullocks and sheep, which were in good demand, and sold readily at late rates. Best bullocks £9 2s Od to '£9 7s Od, lighter £S 12s Od to £8 17s 6d, light £S 7s (Jd to £8 10s, vealers 22s Od to 345, prime heavy wethers 17s Sd, prime wethers T,!>s lid, medium l!8s, prime ewes 14s Sd to 15s, medium ewes 14s to Ws 0.1, plain ewes 14s to 13s Sd, plain prime lambs 13s lid, good 12s Od. ' ADDINGTON. At Addisigton thero were fair entries of stock and a good attendance. Store sheep—Forward wethers and two-tooths sold well. Four and sixtooth wethers made 16s Od to 14s od, extra to 15s, smaller 12s 3d to 12s 9d, forward two-tooths 12s to 12s 9d, smaller 8s 9d to 10s, good four and six-tooth ewes with lambs Ills Od, aged ewes with lambs 8s to Ss Od (all counted), four and six-tooth drv ewes l ! 3s, mixed age 3 10s 3d to lis 3d, two-tooths 13s Od. Fat lambs—There were WIS taken for export at IBs Od to 10s; 789 were bought by butchers at 12s 7d to 17s 2d; 242 fell to graziers at..llls 7d to 12s Bd. Fat sheep —The yarding was not quite so large as last week, a good proportion again being ewes. The range of prices was: Prime wethers 10s to 17s lOd, extra to 20s 3d, lighter 13s to 15s Od, merino wethers 9s to 10s, prime ewes Ms to IGs M, extra to 17s Id, others 9s 7d to 13s 6d, hoggets 12s Sd. Fat cattle—Steers made £6 5s to £ll 18s da, heifers £5 17s Od to £8 12s Od, cows £5 to £lO (equal to 25s to 27s 6d | for prime, 23s to 24s for medium, and 20s to 22s for cow and inferior per 1001b)., Store cattle—A medium yarding met with a good sale, yearlings making 30s. fifteen to eighteen months £2 L 63 to £3 Bs, two-year steers £3 ICs to £3 los, three-year heifers £5 to £5 3s, dairy cows 30s to £4 17s. • Dairy cows sold well, prices ranging from £4 10s to £8 los, and extra to £lO. '4*fiW**l Pigs formed a good yarding of all classes, though many of the fats were not well finished. There was easier demand and weaker prices for fats, but stores, especially weaners, sold better. Choppers sold up to 00s, large baconers 50s to sfis, smaller 38s to 49s (equal to 4d per lb), large porkers 28s to 345, smaller 22s to ,27s (equal to 4'/ 4 d to 4y g d per lb); large stores 24s to 27s Od. medium 18s to" 235, small sorts 12s to 10s, | weaners 3s Od to 10s.
