DISTRICT NEWS.
OAKUEA. (From Our Own Correspondent). We have had rather stormy weather 1 lately—heavy showers and thunderc storms, and up at Koru one of the heav--1 iest hailstorms ever experienced. This will be none too good for the young fruit, but it is to be hoped that most of it is too big now for to be very much damaged. Haymaking has commenced, and although the weather has not been too l satisfactory for harvesting, several have r got their nay into stack. 1 Grass is very plentiful just now, and > maize crops are looking well. If the s showery weather contines we ought to 5 have a record butter season, as every- • where oi\e hears of cows doing better than last year. - ' ,
