THE TEA-DRINKING HABIT.
MAKES BIG FOLKS RICHER. 3j Cable—Pi ess Association—Copyright. London, December 14. The value of shares and debentures in 170 tea companies has risen from £23,000,000 to £30,000,000 since January. Common Indian and Ceylon teas are selling at 7%d per pound. The increase is attributed to old-age pensions and two good harvests in Russia, both factors increasing the consumption of tea. Ceylon shipments last months decreased a million pounds.
